Nadiia Babynska

Nadiia Babynska is open data, freedom of information, media-expert, project coordinator and trainer from Ukraine. She used to be an investigative reporter, a project coordinator of the Open Data Portal of Ukrainian Parliament project (UNDP, OPORA), an expert of Apps4Cities (open city data) in Ukraine (TechSoup, OPORA), an open data expert, consultant of the TAPAS project (USAID, UKAID), coordinator of the Youth innovation challenges (UNDP office in Ukraine) and co-founder of IT-program for schoolgirls Technovation Challenge in Ukraine. Now she is coordinating open data (OpenUp Ukraine), access to public information (https://dostup.pravda.com.ua/nasud) initiatives.

Nadiia has profound knowledge and experience in openness, open data policy development (international, national and local levels). She was one of the initiators of Open Parliament initiative in Ukraine and co-author of the first Action Plan, Open Data Road Maps in Ukraine. In 2017-2018 Nadiia Babynska took part in the Measurement and Accountability Working Group in frame of Open Data Charter. She was one of the authors of the Open Data Measurement Guide. She also was a national expert for Open Data Barometer research in 2017-2018.
