Ilie’s primary legal expertise includes judicial reform, digital rights and non-profit law. Previously, he was involved in monitoring and evaluating the mechanisms and practice of selection and promotion of judges and prosecutors, development and implementation of the percentage designation mechanism (2% Law) as well as the concept of the new legislation in the not-for-profit sector applicable in Moldova. Ilie is also the author of the first LRCM podcast, dedicated to digital rights.

He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Litigation from USM and a Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Essex (UK). He is a graduate of the Tech Camp for Civic Space Defenders, Stanford University GDPi-ICNL (USA), an ambassador of the Global Community for Young Leaders (One Young World) and a former fellow of the Human Rights Resource Group, Soros Foundation (Moldova).
