Adrian Ermurachi
Adrian Ermurachi, is currently Deputy Secretary General of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the national political lead for Open Government Partnership. In this position, his main areas of responsibility are: (i) strengthening and coordinating strategic planning and public policy process at the level of central public authorities, (ii) building a coherent system of efficient and transparent decision taking mechanism, (iii) coordinating central public administration reform activities, (iv) coordinating activity of the Government’s representative at local level as well ensuring administrative control for the normative acts adopted by the local public authorities. Also, in this position being responsible for coordination of development partners and official development assistance, including its alignment to national priorities, negotiation, proper implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Adrian is the representative of the Republic of Moldova to the European Committee on Democracy and Governance of the Council of Europe and representative of the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova to the EU-Moldova Association Committee Also, Adrian has a high expertise in the non-government sector, in the past years being appointed by a leading think-tank (Institute for European Policies and Reforms) as a good governance expert.
Some of the most important activities done in this position is participating in the evaluation of the implementation of the Association Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova, as well in the developing the National Development Strategy “Moldova 2030”. He is a native Romanian speaker and fluent in English & Russian.
