Nicu Cretu

Nicolae Cretu is a certified management consultant (CMC) with more than 15 years of work experience in both not-for-profit and business sector. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Management with the Leeds Metropolitan University, UK and Qualitative Research Certificate with Columbia University, NY, USA. He continuously improves his skills through professional development training. He participated in more than 30 various management training programs in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Moldova, Bulgaria, etc

During the last 10 years he worked as an international expert, providing consultancy and capacity building programs for NGOs, public institutions and private sector organizations from Moldova, Armenia, Mongolia, Liberia, Azerbaijan, Nepal, Tajikistan and Ukraine.

He developed the evaluation/research methodology for more than 30 consultancy projects (including in open contracting, open government, project evaluations fields). Nicu acted as methodology development expert part of Independent Evaluation of Open Contracting Showcase and Learning Projects (Ukraine, Nepal and Mexico City) for OCP during August – December 2017.

Nicolae was involved in entrepreneurship and start up consultancy projects starting from 2008. As part of various assignments he developed curricula, guidebooks and trainings for youth entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship for NGOs and entrepreneurship for Vocational Schools. Later this service was requested by managers and entrepreneurs to support their professional growths as managers/entrepreneurs. This coaching/consultancy support is based on Nicolae’s personal experience as entrepreneur: he planned and developed few companies: Wooden Educational Games, Intrigo, English Intensive, Innovative Solutions, as well as his experience in consulting more than 100 various organizations.

Nicolae is currently based in Vienna, Austria. He is fluent in English, Russian and is native Romanian speaker.
