Yana Barinova

Dr. Yana Barinova is Program Director for European Policies and Ukraine with Erste Foundation Austria, previously served as the Director of the Department of Culture in the Kyiv State City Administration. With her academic credentials, which include a doctoral degree in Arts and Science from Sorbonne University (2020), MBA in cultural management and graduation from the Ukrainian School of Political Studies in 2021, she possesses a solid foundation in both the socio-cultural and political spheres. 

Notably, she held the position of COO at the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center from 2016 to 2019 and also served as an advisor to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. Curator of the course "Cultural Diplomacy in Times of War” at the Central European University. Author of the book "New Media, Memory, Places," as well as numerous articles and lectures on cultural policy, memory politics, and cultural diplomacy.
